Hire a String Trio or Pop Trio for Weddings & Events
violin, viola, and cello — for timeless, classical elegance, and the Pop Trio — violin, cello, and cajón — for a rhythm-driven, party-ready sound. The String Trio is ideal for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and refined receptions, while the Pop Trio brings energy to parties and high-energy moments with its percussion backbone. Both feature professional musicians, span pop to classical, and perform at events nationwide. Not sure which fits? We'll help you choose the right trio for your occasion.
Multicultural Wedding & Event Musicians
One of the biggest reasons couples book our Trio is its multicultural repertoire. We've performed at Persian, Indian, Jewish, Greek, Korean, Brazilian, Nigerian, and countless other cultural celebrations — learning the traditional pieces and international hits that matter most to you and your guests. Whether you need a string trio for a bilingual ceremony or a pop trio that can shift from a Latin set to Top 40, our musicians perform the music of your culture with respect, authenticity, and joy.
Watch the String Trio & Pop Trio Perform Live
See both ensembles in action. Our Pop Trio videos capture the full, dance-ready energy of violin, cello, and cajón at live performances and real weddings, while our String Trio clips show the intimate warmth of violin, viola, and cello up close. These performances are the best way to hear how three musicians can fill a room — and to picture the right sound for your own event.
Trusted at the Finest Venues
From garden ceremonies and historic estates to hotel ballrooms like the Fairmont, our String Trio and Pop Trio perform at premier venues nationwide. Both ensembles are compact enough for intimate spaces yet powerful enough to fill a large room, and our musicians arrive early, dress the part, and sound-check before your guests arrive — so the music is seamless from the first note to the last.
400+ Songs Across Every Genre
Both trios draw from the same deep catalog of more than 300 songs and pieces — pop and Top 40, romantic wedding songs, Latin and international favorites, rock and jazz standards, and classical and cinematic works. The String Trio leans into timeless classical and ceremonial pieces; the Pop Trio turns pop, Latin, and party anthems into a full, rhythmic sound. Don't see your song? Custom arrangements are a specialty — just ask.

The Trio — FAQ
What's the difference between the String Trio and the Pop Trio?
Which trio is right for my wedding?
How far in advance should we book?
The String Trio is violin, viola, and cello — the traditional chamber sound, pure and timeless. The Pop Trio swaps the viola for a cajón, adding a percussion backbone that drives rhythm and energy. Same three-piece versatility, two distinct vibes: the String Trio leans elegant and classical, the Pop Trio leans upbeat and dance-ready.
It depends on the moment. Many couples book the String Trio for the ceremony and cocktail hour, where its warmth and elegance shine, and choose the Pop Trio when they want more energy and rhythm for cocktails or a lively reception. Tell us your vision and we'll recommend the best fit — or you can mix both across your day.
We typically book three to nine months in advance, especially for peak wedding season (May through October) and the December holidays. We do our best to accommodate shorter timelines, so reach out and we'll check availability for your exact date right away.
Can you learn a custom song or music from our culture?
Do you perform indoors and outdoors?
Absolutely — it's one of our specialties. Our multicultural repertoire spans Persian, Indian, Jewish, Greek, Korean, Brazilian, and many more traditions, and we regularly prepare custom arrangements of first-dance songs, processionals, and pieces with special meaning. We recommend requesting custom or cultural songs at least six weeks ahead.
Both. The trio performs beautifully in ballrooms, houses of worship, galleries, and gardens. For outdoor events we ask for shade and a level surface to protect the instruments, and we can add subtle amplification for larger open-air settings.
How much space and setup does the trio need?
The trio needs roughly an 8 × 8 ft area, three armless chairs, and access to power if amplification is used. We arrive early to set up and sound-check so everything is ready well before your guests arrive.
Can we book a different ensemble size?
Do you travel nationwide?
Yes. Beyond the trio, United Strings offers a solo cellist, a duo, a string quartet, and our high-energy Pop Quartet and Pop Quintet. If your venue is large or you want a fuller sound, we'll recommend the right ensemble for your space and budget.
Yes. United Strings performs across the country, with musicians available in many major markets. Share your city and date and we'll confirm coverage and any travel details in your custom quote.
How much does a trio cost?
Pricing depends on your date, location, which trio you choose, and how long you'd like us to play. Every event is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. Send us your details and you'll receive a clear, custom quote with no obligation.
